Riley is a former Congress reporter for The Daily Beast and the Anchorage Daily News. A Pennsylvania native, she started her reporting career at her hometown newspaper, the Bucks County Courier Times, and Philadelphia magazine. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she studied history and government while serving as editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Hoya.
