Daniella Diaz covers politics and Congress for NOTUS.
She previously covered Congress for Politico and was a congressional reporter at CNN. In 2020, she traversed the country as a CNN campaign embed covering the presidential campaign efforts of Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren and then-Vice President Mike Pence.
Daniella’s coverage also has taken her to Tijuana, Mexico, to report on deported veterans, as well as to Havana for reporting on U.S.–Cuba relations. She covered the 2018 midterms for CNN, focusing mainly on races in Florida, and daily breaking news out of Capitol Hill. She got her start in news working at her hometown newspaper, The Monitor.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master of Fine Arts from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
