Torrence Banks

Torrence covers politics and the Louisiana congressional delegation for NOTUS.

Torrence received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, where he majored in English, and earned his graduate degree from the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. At UMD’s Howard Center for Investigative Journalism, he reported on multiple projects including an investigation into historical newspaper coverage of lynchings and racial torture. He was an intern with U.S. News & World Report, and his reporting has appeared in the Miami Herald, AFRO American Newspapers and Capital News Service.
