Countdown to Election Day with NOTUS

The Allbritton Journalism Institute hosted an evening event in the NOTUS newsroom in Georgetown, featuring a politics discussion with NOTUS reporter Jasmine Wright and AJI senior instructor Tim Alberta. Wright has covered VP Kamala Harris since 2019 and shared insights from the campaign trail. Alberta, who is also a staff writer at The Atlantic, talked about conservative evangelical voters and what to expect in key swing states.


Cocktails and Conversation With NOTUS and the Senate Press Secretaries Association

NOTUS co-hosted a networking happy hour event with the Senate Press Secretaries Association, a bipartisan organization that convenes communications professionals on Capitol Hill. Dozens of journalists, Allbritton Journalism Institute fellows, press secretaries and communications directors were in attendance.


An Evening With the Allbritton Journalism Institute and the Swiss Embassy

Swiss Ambassador Jacques Pitteloud hosted the Allbritton Journalism Institute at his official residence for dinner and a conversation about the future of political journalism — domestically and overseas. The event was attended by a 125-person audience of journalists, diplomats, policymakers, political operatives and business leaders.


Tim Alberta Book Event: “The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism”

The Allbritton Journalism Institute and NOTUS hosted an evening event in celebration of Tim Alberta’s new book about far-right evangelical Christians as told through the eyes of televangelists, small-town preachers and everyday churchgoers. Alberta is a staff writer at The Atlantic and a senior faculty instructor at AJI.
