It’s Rep. Ken Buck’s last week in Congress, but that didn’t stop the Freedom Caucus from voting the longtime Colorado Republican member out of its group last night. Per The Hill, Buck was voted out for breaking with fellow conservatives and “leaving the conference hanging with a historically narrow margin.”

As the Alabama state Supreme Court ruling upends access to in vitro fertilization treatment in the state, the national campaign arm for Senate Republicans released a memo telling GOP candidates to “express support for IVF,” “oppose restrictions on IVF” and “campaign on increasing access” for fertility treatments, CNN reports. The memo, written by NRSC Executive Director Jason Thielman, acknowledged the ruling was “fodder for Democrats” to campaign on reproductive rights.

Peter Navarro, Trump’s former trade official, was sentenced to four months in prison for two contempt of Congress charges due to his refusal to comply with subpoenas from the House Select Committee investigating Jan. 6. Navarro, who was convicted by a federal jury last September, was also fined $9,500. He said during the hearing Thursday that he had an “honest belief” he was protected by executive privilege.
