Donald Trump says he supports IVF in light of the Alabama state Supreme Court ruling that embryos are “children”: “Today, I am calling on the Alabama Legislature to act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama,” Trump posted on Truth Social. Trump has repeatedly bragged about bringing about the end to Roe v. Wade, a ruling Democrats warned could eventually lead to restrictions on fertility treatments.

Donald Trump’s defense team is trying to delay enforcement of penalties in his New York civil fraud case, which include a $354 million fine. The state’s attorney has opposed the request. Trump will have 30 days to pay the fine once the judge signs the order. Meanwhile, pretrial motions are due in Trump’s criminal classified documents case in Florida, where his lawyers are trying to get Judge Aileen Cannon to toss out the case.

Save America PAC spent $2.9 million in January to cover Donald Trump’s legal fees, per the group’s Tuesday filing with the Federal Election Commission. The legal fees made up most of the group’s spending last month, an indication that Trump’s numerous indictments are continuing to drain his coffers. Save America PAC is only one part of a network of political committees supporting Trump, which collectively spent more than it raised last year.

Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor in Donald Trump’s Georgia criminal case, took the stand today to discuss his relationship with Fani Willis. He said the relationship started in March 2022; another witness, a former Willis friend, said it began as early as 2019, well before Willis hired Wade for the Trump case. That timeline matters because Trump’s attorneys say Wade has lied about their relationship and that he and Willis improperly benefited from the case.

The former president is in the courtroom in New York for that case today. Meanwhile, in Georgia, Trump attorneys are in court to argue prosecutor Fani Willis should be removed and charges should be dismissed.

Donald Trump filed a request to the Supreme Court to block the recent appeals court ruling that said he has no presidential immunity from prosecution related to Jan. 6. Trump’s lawyers argued that allowing a criminal trial to move forward now would “radically disrupt President Trump’s ability to campaign.”

The former president was the only major GOP candidate to compete in the caucuses, winning the state’s slate of delegates. The win comes days after Nikki Haley lost to “none of these candidates” in Nevada’s (symbolic) state primary on Tuesday.
