The State Department announced Tuesday that it would be releasing limited-edition passports for America’s 250th birthday — including one featuring a portrait of President Donald Trump on the inside cover.
The State Department posted a sneak peak of the design on social media, which shows what appears to be a rendering of Trump’s second inaugural portrait in red, white and blue ink.
The back cover features the John Trumbull painting “Declaration of Independence.”
“As the United States celebrates America’s 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to commemorate this historic occasion,” State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told Fox News Digital and The Bulwark.

This isn’t the first time Trump has attached his name and likeness to government property; his signature will appear on paper currency for the 250th anniversary, and he created a “gold card” visa program with cards that feature his face and signature.
Trump’s name has also been added to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as well as the U.S. Institute of Peace.
Just last month, Trump’s hand-picked Commission of Fine Arts approved a $1 coin that features Trump’s face, which is also being released for America’s 250th anniversary.
“President Trump’s new patriotic passport design provides yet another great way Americans can join in the spectacular celebrations for America’s 250th birthday,” White House spokesperson Olivia Wales told The Hill. “Between the UFC250 Fight, the Great American State Fair, Freedom250 Grand Prix, and this new passport celebrating our freedom, President Trump continues to proudly lead a renewal of national pride and patriotism during our historic semiquincentennial celebration.”
