The U.S. Secret Service is looking into a video, aired on Iranian state media, that suggests the country has placed a bounty on Barron Trump.
It’s a threat that comes as hostilities between the two countries spiral after the collapse of a ceasefire deal earlier this month.
The video, broadcast last weekend by state media outlet IRIB, opened with a banner stating: “Where to kill Barron Trump?!” The video then goes on to list a number of places it says the president’s youngest son frequents, including Trump Tower in New York City.
It ends with a narrator saying people were “eagerly waiting” to receive a $10 million reward for his assassination, CNN reported.

The video is apparently part of a series. A similar video emerged last month targeting first lady Melania Trump.
“The US Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring said in a statement Tuesday. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
Iranian media has aired multiple threats toward President Donald Trump and his family since the U.S. launched a major attack that killed the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in February.
An Iranian threat last month prompted the president to take a secret flight out of Turkey after sneaking off Air Force One in a catering truck.
Trump acknowledged the threats last month in an interview with the New York Post, adding that he’s told aides and military leaders to launch a massive offensive against Iran if they were to succeed in assassinating him.
“I’ve been on their list for a long time,” he said. “I’ve left instructions, if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”
