Pam Bondi Explains Her Apparent Backtrack on the Epstein ‘Client List’

Her comments seemingly contradicted a February interview in which she said, “It is sitting on my desk right now to review.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday explained her previous comments about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “client list,” suggesting that she never confirmed its existence.

The defiant comments come after a Department of Justice memo released Monday said that federal investigators had not found any “client list” kept by Epstein, nor any evidence that the disgraced financier had blackmailed any of the rich and powerful people he associated with.

Those comments seemingly contradicted a February interview in which Bondi told Fox News, in response to a question about Epstein’s “client list,” that “it is sitting on my desk right now to review.”

“In February, I did an interview on Fox,” Bondi told reporters during a cabinet meeting Tuesday. “It’s been getting a lot of attention because I said — I was asked a question about the client list. My response was, ‘It’s sitting on my desk to be reviewed,’ meaning the file along with the JFK and MLK files.”

She added that the files the Department of Justice is declining to make public contain harrowing images and videos that do not serve the public interest.

“Also to the tens of thousands of videos, they turned out to be child porn downloaded by Jeffrey Epstein. Child porn never will see the light of day,” she added.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was also grilled on Monday about Bondi’s comments about the “client list.” She said the attorney general “was saying the entirety of all of the paperwork in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, that’s what the attorney general was referring to and I will let her speak for that.”

Leavitt went on to describe the FBI’s arrest numbers and falling murder rate as proof of Bondi’s success in her role.

President Donald Trump was visibly irritated at the line of questioning directed to Bondi on Tuesday, asking reporters, “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? We have Texas, we have this, all of the things. Are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable. Do you want to waste the time—.”

“I don’t mind answering,” Bondi cut in.
