President Donald Trump’s deputy chief of staff for communications and personnel, Taylor Budowich, is leaving the White House this month, the White House confirmed to NOTUS.
“Taylor is one the true MAGA faithful who has poured out his heart for this movement and our President. He is universally admired and respected,” White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller told NOTUS. “No matter the issue or need, his insights and talents are sought after and valued deeply. He is and remains a cherished and loyal ally to us all.”
Budowich will be leaving for the private sector, Axios first reported on Wednesday. He is the second senior staff member to leave the White House this year after former National Security Adviser Mike Walz, who was appointed as ambassador to the United Nations after garnering headlines for inadvertently adding a journalist to a group chat in which administration officials discussed sensitive plans for a military strike in Yemen.
Budowich started with the Trump campaign in 2021 as a spokesperson before leaving to lead communications for Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC, an organization that was responsible for raising and spending more than $600 million during the election cycle.
“His oversight of the White House’s communications team has been an incredible success, where they’ve done an outstanding job touting the truly historic accomplishments of President Trump’s second term,” Vice President JD Vance said in a statement. “In addition to this, he’s played an integral role in coordinating this administration’s cabinet agencies and our Office of Public Liaison.”
During his time with the Trump administration, Budowich was subpoenaed and testified before Congress multiple times, including for the congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and the federal probe into Trump’s handling of classified documents.
“His unwavering dedication to advancing President Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda has made him a vital asset in Trump 2.0,” White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino said in a statement to NOTUS. “Taylor is the kind of person you want by your side in any type of challenge, on any day of the week.”
